Can Tony Ferguson Survive His Impending Decline?

Sometimes you only really begin to understand just how much you appreciate a fighter once they begin declining before your very eyes. 

We’re all often guilty of taking our fan favourites for granted, assuming that they’ll always be there to wow us with their wins, or at the very least, to thrill us through their efforts.

And in the case of the former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, watching his last two fights was a surprisingly emotional ordeal for me. 

I’ve always counted Ferguson among my favourite mixed martial artists in the world.

It’s not just his creativity, his high-octane pressure-intensive style, his wild submission skills, or his inhuman ability to recover from damage. 

But it’s also him as a person.
