Petr Yan - Henry Cejudo flame war continues
Petr Yan has once again called out Henry Cejudo.
The UFC’s hottest bantamweight contender has been on a twitter offensive – probably assisted by a translator, as this noted twitter user observed – against Cejudo since his callout of Jose Aldo.
Yan (14-1) defeated Urijah Faber by knockout at UFC 245, after which “Triple C” called out Jose Aldo (who lost to Marlon Moraes the same night, by split decision). Yan responded on social media, saying: “Don’t allow triple clown [to] turn our sport into [a] circus.”
Cejudo responded:
Yan, in turn, suggested that him and Cejudo fight on the Khabib vs. Ferguson card:
Yan has had an impressive run, scoring five knockdowns in 2019 (second only to Israel Adesanya), and earning the praise of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who listed him among the most impressive Russian fighters of 2019.
Yan and Aljamain Sterling are both in hot pursuit of Cejudo’s title, but UFC president Dana White said he doesn’t hate the thought of Cejudo fighting the former featherweight king.
