Dominick Reyes moves past Jon Jones beef, offers thanks to Jones

UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones vacating his belt leaves a bit of a bitter taste in the mouths of fans who were hoping for a rematch between Jones and Dominick Reyes.

After the two men fought at UFC 247, the majority of both fans and media members scored the fight for Dominick Reyes. However, it was Jones who managed to walk away with the unanimous decision victory.

After Jones announced his decision to vacate his light heavyweight belt earlier this month, Reyes suggested that it was due to his being afraid of losing the belt in a rematch, to which Jones responded that he always performs better in rematches.

For now, however, it seems that Reyes has moved on. He posted this respectful message to Jones on Twitter:

Reyes is slated to fight Jan Blachowicz for the vacant light heavyweight belt at UFC 253.
