BJ Penn faces more legal trouble, arrested on suspicion of DUI
UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn faces more legal trouble. On Monday, the former UFC two-division champion was arrested in Honoka’a, Hawaii on suspicion of DUI.
Hawaii Police Department spokesman told MMA Junkie that Penn was arrested in Honoka’a following a reckless driving complaint and has been released pending investigation.
Penn has had many legal troubles in recent years, having been released by the UFC in 2019 after a video emerged of him partaking in a bar fight.
Before his release from the UFC, while the glory of his earlier career was certainly long past him, Penn was reportedly using fight camps to help stay sober.
