Khabib Nurmagomedov's cousin signs with UFC

The name “Magomed,” perhaps the most frequently seen in all of combat sports, is yet adding to its list of UFC fighters, as the UFC has signed undefeated Russian bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov (12-0), younger cousin of lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0).

This is the second relative of Khabib to be signed by the promotion, after Abubakar Nurmagomedov, who was added to the UFC roster last November.

There is considerably more buzz around the signing of Umar than in the case of Abubakar, however. At just 24 years of age, he has shown considerable potential in his 12 professional fights, all victories. He fought in numerous organizations, including GFC and PFL, before finally signing with UFC.
