Khabib Nurmagomedov breaks silence on father's passing

It has been over three weeks since the passing of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, MMA coach and father of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In this time, Khabib has been silent, not speaking to media or posting to any of his social media accounts.

He has finally broken that silence today, posting this to his Instagram page:

The post contains an image of Khabib and his father embracing, along with some Quranic verses about parents.

Khabib was slated to defend his belt against Justin Gaethje in September, but his father’s passing may put a wrench in these plans.
